It is with great pleasure that we prepare to share the fruit of our labor with you all! Why Should Your Heart Not Dance is Asaran’s first album – a collection of all the music we’ve learned, written and arranged together. Coming soon to the East Coast of the USA (but you’ll be able to get it online too!). Featuring special guests Nezih Antakli and Rogerio Boccato, who each graced a track with their beautiful sounds. Stay tuned for tour dates!
After a lovely time in Croatia, Italy and Hungary, here are some pictures of the trip’s highlights. Once again our faithful friend and talented photographer Francesco Moretti accompanied us for part of our journey. Enjoy!
We just had a lovely time singing at a beautiful garden in the Trastevere region of Rome. The Together team opened up their space for us in a very welcoming way, and even made a beautiful video to mark the ocasion! Here’s a traditional song from the region of Trentino in the north of Italy. Filmed live at Together Garden in Rome, Italy. Enjoy!

Our first Sofar Sounds experience was one for the books! We performed at the Waterfront Barge Museum in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Here are some highlights of the evening:
We had a wonderful time at the Williamsburg Music Center on Saturday! Here are some shots of the evening 🙂
We’re proud to present the third installment of our Sala Connections series. While on tour this summer we were graciously taken in by our friend and wonderful vocalist Aurora Arteaga. She taught us this traditional bread-making song, and we filmed this collaboration right in her living room in Madrid, Spain.
Ever wonder how the famous shakers we hand out at our concerts are made? Check out this video of artist Noemia Marinho at work. She designed the shakers to be made entirely of discarded materials, down to the label with our logo on it. Look for them at our next concert!
